In the sixth gen, compared to other RPGs of that gen and RPGs of past gens, Final Fantasy 10 wasn't that great, but that was before playing games in the seventh gen where half of the console RPGs are even worse. 

Just because it's better than some of last gen RPGs though, doesn't make it better than past gen RPGs.  I'm buying the FF10 HD Collection because of Final Fantasy 10-2 though.  FF10-2 is a much better game imo.  I do have new respect for FF10 though as I didn't think RPGs would get as bad as they've gotten.

My favorite thing about FF10 though was Blitzball.  Over half the time I played FF10 it was playing Blitzball, even after acquiring the sigil.  For a mini game, like many mini games from FF7-FF10, it was really good.  Square Enix needs to release a full game based off Blitzball.  Different teams to play single player, multiplayer on the same console, create your own team, online play, etc. 

I'd buy this.

I think most people just hate Tidus with passion and not the game itself.

I never played it, looked far too "aimed at girls" for me, being hd doesnt change that.

I had the demo with my FFVI PS one game. Really enjoyed the game, spend a long time upgrading my characters and countless hours grinding to defeat those super aeons;..

The way you feel about Blitzball is the same way I feel about Triple Triad in FFVIII. I would love Triple Triad including cards from all FF heroes monsters and villains.  

Will I buy and play this? No. Did I like the original? Yes. So why won't I buy or even play this one? Because I don't want old games. i want new games. Square Enix is just being lazy if this is true. I now see why FF is pretty well dead. It's too bad to see developers just mlking the old games now. Like, come on, at least make a new game or a new story but the same? No thanks, you can go die and make room for people who want to give us something new.

Nope just checked my clock, I do still hate it, and won't pick it up.

Id rather play nothing but the first 12 hours of Final Fantasy XIII repeatedly, wearing only a Hope cosplay, for the rest of my life.
