Not really. Games don't usually triple their first 2 months of sales, ACIV will top out at 200k. Did we ever get 101 shipments???

Ubi are making the right decision with Watchdogs. It's their next 8m+ selling franchise (that's what they're hoping for) they shouldn't be worrying about a sku that is gonna sell 50k - 200k.

It is beyond me why you think ubisoft is right by disrespecting their nintendo consumers. They aren't even gonna lose any special date if they release all versions a little later. and it will sell far more than that. 50k, seriously?

And AC4 is tracking ahead of AC3, wich surprise surprise, is already at 230k and on it's way to reaching 300k (triple of it's first two months).

They delayed the WiiU version because it's low priority compared to the other consoles. If ACIV had sold better then they wouldn't have done it. 140k copies sold is nothing compared to the 7m sold on the other platforms.

and lol at ZombieU at 800k. No. That thing didn't pass 400k.

Where do you get your 400k from?

NPD and Mediacreate. I know it was bundled in Europe but sales there are so low I can't really figure out what it sold.

But going by Ubisofts comments I can't believe this did anything spectacular, especially not anywhere near 800k. These type of titles drop off a cliff they don't sustain legs.

I was hoping for a press release or something because I don't see how VGC numbers could be 240k off.

Really? We're overtracking 360 by 2m+ in the US (and have had LTD's there for a couple years now) trust me it's not that difficult for VGC to be that off.

where did I say it's at 800k? I say it should get there by 2014 end. right now vgc has it at 640k and even if it's wrong, it's just one game among many I listed.

And as for this groundbreaking argument "These type of titles drop off a cliff they don't sustain legs." The game data base exists, we don't have to guess.

I wouldnt say Assassin's Creed 4 is showing good legs at all on Wii U when comparing to other versions of the game in 2014.

PS3 - 227k
360 - 183k
XBO - 96k
PS4 - 200k

Hell, Assassin's Creed 3 on PS3 and 360 have both outsold AC4 on Wii U in 2014.

As for the others, meh.

TW101 is arguable, considering how niche the title actually is. It will have good word of mouth helping it out.

Rayman on Wii U is having better legs than on PS3 and 360. That said though, the game hasnt sold very well at all.

Some more Wii U games in 2014:

Wii Party U - 117k
Wind Waker HD - 59k
Pikmin 3 - 37k
LEGO City Undercover - 28k
Disney Infinity - 20k
Just Dance 2014 - 19k
Skylanders Swap Force - 15k
Wii Fit U - 103k
Sonic Lost World - 15k
Dragon Quest X - 4k
Batman: Arkham Origins - 10k
Splinter Cell Blacklist - 3k
NFS: Most Wanted - 7k
Injustice - 3k
Deus Ex Human Revolution - 4k
Sniper Elite V2 - 610 units

Decide for yourself what is good and what is bad.

Edit - And as an addition, when there arent a lot of releases for a platform, the userbase will tend to go back and buy the "lesser priority" games in the library. I think a lot of Wii U games will benefit from this, just as a lot of early PS3 games did in Gen 7. The problem here is that by the time these titles start to leg, theyre already at bargain bin prices.

The delay is a disrespect agains nintendo consumers and isn't justified in any way. this is the exact opposite of what they did to rayman legends, now delaying only one version.

Believe me, Ubisoft would lose alot of sales if they released later. Watchdogs has lost way too much steam already because of its delay, if it'd release in the holiday period now it wouldn't stand a chance against the big hitters like Destiny or Cod or whatever else is coming this holiday season. So releasing it during the summer, where there are hardly any releases, is their best bet to get the most out of the PS and Xbox versions, if they have to put the Wii U version on hold to get the other versions out by then, then that is the best thing they can do.

We aren't comparing AC4 wii u vs other versions. the discussion is about the legs it's getting vs what it did last year.

I know you put little faith in VGC's numbers but I was wondering if your number was your own estimation or based on something solid.

this is a single version we are talking about. when the other versions get ready, it shouldn't take more than two weeks to finish the wii u one. and they lost a lot of rayman sales on wii u with a similar behaviour.

It's justified by the sales. Ubisoft is a business not a charity, they put more effort into the versions that will sell more. It's not about disrespect.
