This is plain false. I've bought 4 games digitally (1 was like 2 weeks ago) through the US marketplace on Live (I live in Germany), and they all work perfectly. Tomorrow I'll be downloading Thief from the US store too.

Why would they region lock just the digital content? That makes no sense! Something screwy is going on here. There's no way they're that dumb. Either it's a mistake, or they going to region lock retail software in the future and will stop making region free physical disks as well. But to just region lock digital content? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! I'm thinking what'll end up happening is whatever region free physical disks have been shipped will remain region free, but they're making the whole console region locked, so any disks produced here on out will be region locked, and digital content gets region locked now simply because they can do that instantly.

Most likely PDF flares... GT5 DLC is still hot!!

Euro Xbox owners do you have any problem with digital downloads?
I'm not an Euro guy but in late January I was outta the country with my X1 and I enjoyed Max with no fuss.

wow this is big news! One thing the xbox got over playstation was the region free dlc and now not only does it restrict dlc but it also region locks the games.

That's so dumb.
