These are most likely people offering really cheap digital codes for games which are clearly too good to be true, people buy them off Ebay at really cheap prices, get their codes and the sellers block the credit card payment to MS and MS deactivates the product code from working, simple as that.

Think about it... why would anyone sell a digital store code for a game on Ebay? you think someone would go online, pay full retail for a download code then offer to sell it to someone on ebay for 1/4 it's value? These people just got scammed by ebayers and someone has managed to turn it into an Anti MS story for some hits on their site.

What? People buy download codes off ebay? Why would you need to do that, just buy the damned game straight off XBL. No muss, no fuss, no getting scammed.

Were the Titanfall Beta codes region locked? Cuz I got mine from a friend in UK who got an extra in his e-mail. I can still launch that.

Also Major Nelson and Mike Ybarra constantly post Live Codes on twitter. They don't say "Only for US".

I smell Bullshit from eBay sellers. People need to use COMMON SENSE these days before jumping to conclusions.

Just because it's on eBay does not means it's not a legitimate shop, just on eBay. Many high street UK stores have both online and eBay stores as well. It no different to buying from a PSN code from Amazon and redeeming it from the store.

Also, XBL Store is a restricted market and probably charged more for the product (no competition means they can just leave it at the cost too), so trying to find a cheaper alternative is someone many consumers like to do.

one thing for sure it is not IP based.... I have a US XBO with US live account in europe and my games work just fine whether my IP is located in Europe or in the US....

now I don't think it is HW based either looking at the reports of people in that very thread....

for such a thing to be true it would be happening to every single customer either in my situation or the one of other people in that thread.... if it is not the case you don't even have to think about it.... it is either a bug or a scam....

and it's funny how the usual suspects that don't even pay attention to the thread content already go full on anti MS and claim they are just reporting when they open a new thread with bad news..... take note admins.... those people are fucking trolls end of story and should be banned way more than any of the reason I have been banned for defending my console of choice in my own god damn forum.....
