Forums - Gaming - How full is your next gen HDD?

http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2014/02/23/on-xbox-one-and-ps4-hard-drive-space-is-already-shrinking-fast/

So it's been a few months since the new consoles come out and there was some concern about the 500 gb HDD that came in them from people (myself included) who thought they were too small. After coming across this article today I thought it would be interesting to ask how everybodys hard drives were holding up and maybe a little bit about what you have on them so far.

So what's the news? How do you guys feel about the size and how do you plan on dealing with it when it does eventually run out of room?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Well I have a Wii U and am going mostly digital this generation, so my hdd ran out pretty quickly, but I bought a 1TB HD, so yeah. I'm pretty set.

35%

I have Ryse, Rayman Legends, Lego Marvel, Lego Movie Demo, Zoo Tycoon, Dead Rising 3, Peggle 2, Forza 5, Just Dance 2014, Killer Instinct, Spartan Assault, Kinect Sports Rivals Demo, and the Titanfall Beta.

I will be removing several soon.....if space is needed. But as you can see, I am still doing good on space.

Not really concerned about storage considering.......

Games will get bigger as the generation progresses.

Wait? Are you saying that you're not concerned about storage even though games will get bigger? Or are those two seperate thoughts.

Not too bad so far. I believe I'll still have about 300 GB in my PS4. I will have Thief, Assassin's Creed IV and Killzone: Shadow Fall plus 7 PSN games (including Basement Crawl) by Tuesday night. Plenty of space for 8-10 more games.

I only have PlayStation 4, and so far have used 281GB of 399GB, leaving 118GB free.

The rest is captures and save data. I plan to eventually get a bigger HDD, but as you can see I pretty much buy or play every game. I had Warframe, Fifa, and Blacklight on it in the beginning but only played them a handful of times. I will most likely drop Contrast, Madden, Tomb Raider, COD, and Battlefield throughout the year as needed.

I am waiting tell 2TB drives are supported to upgrade. Heard people were having issues with the M9T around launch.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Sweet Jesus! That's a ton of games already! At least you're getting your money's worth.

I only have 1 GB left on my 32 GB Wii U. Tropical Freeze killed me.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.
