Forums - Gaming - How full is your next gen HDD?

I buy physical media if I am going to sell the game on, and as no killer games such as the next Elder Scrolls have been released (those I am planning on buying digital as I will keep them forever), I have a lot of space left. So far Flower, Killzone (which will be deleted if/when I sell it), Resogun, Doki Doki Universe, Final Fantasy Beta, and the free-to-play titles are the only games taking up space.

My PS4 has like 377 GB left. It only has Tomb Raider, Flower, and some other free game I haven't played yet. It took no time at all for the PS4 to install enough of Tomb Raider for me to play. I think I can get away with uninstalling for a long time.

Wii U filled up around October. I bought a 500GB HDD and moved everything to that. Resident Evil, Little Inferno, The Cave, Game and Wario, Monster Hunter, Mighty Switch Force 1 and 2, and some other stuff. I think the 500GB will last me forever.

Vita 32 is virtually full games and stuff. No room for anything. Vita 8GB is filled with Dragonball Z episodes.

3DS has a 16GB card in it and it's got a ton of games on it but the games are so small that I think I'm good for a long, long time.

I still have a crappy main 256 GB hard drive for my laptop, so I suppose I could deal with a 500 GB hard drive for a console...

loads of space left on PS4 as mostly bought Disk games so far, but not worried, when it does run out ill just slot a 2TB in, which will be dirt cheap by that time.

Where is this misconception coming from lately? Physical and Digital take up the exact same amount of space on your PS4.

My PS3 uses ~350gb of my 500gb HDD
My PS4 uses ~50gb of my 500gb HDD

My expectations are 500gb will be borderline based on my typical buying habits of physical versus digital and size of my library. As long as it means I am not having to uninstall and re install game data like I did with initial 40gb on PS3 I will manage. The big x factor is PS+ which with sales and game trials could push the data quickly depending on how big games get.

Still 400gb+ on my PS4. I have AC4 digital and Resogun for PS+, the other games physical. I'll probably never full it, I buy digital rarely.

All ps4 games even when pysical copy ,, requires mandaory install before playing it sadly.

It is a very good thing, its decreases heat and noise and makes load times faster.

I have 308 GB free on PS4. Have NFS:R, KZSF, AC4, Strider, Warframe, Outlast. Not sure on XB1, have to check but plenty free. Only have Ryse, KI, and DR3.. 80GB drive on my PS3 ended up being way way to small and I constantly have to delete games and whatnot, same with Vita. Was able to juggle 2 4GB cards for it but now they arent even close to enough for what I do with it...
