The flaw in your thinking is that game reviewers only ever score games based on how good a game is.

If there were a game out there worthy of a "perfect score" from all reviewers, you can bet that a few reviewers will intentionally give it an 8/10 just for the clicks.

Not according to Rotten Tomatoes. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/top/bestofrt/ Citizen kane is still the best rated movie with 100% positive reviews. Other movies might have higher average score out of 10 (haven't checked), but at least one reviewer gave it a negative review.

I have played the perfect game many times. I've also watched the best movie ever many times.

The problem is the Metacritic/Rotten Tomatoes say they are average at best.

How could I or why should I care what everyone else says? Just as long as it is the best to me, that is all that matters.

well, every year are about 3 titles with the "best game evah" mass nomination. Last year were TLOU, GTAV and SM3DW, my bets for this year are Titanfall (already claimed the game of the generation by some people, even before the beta xD), X (cuz xenoblade is da best JRPG evah apparently) and smash (the most popular fighting game)
