How? I put close to a thousand dollarrs on the wii u and another thousand plus on 3ds. Only thing else I could do is slob on fils aims nob for more games.

Anyway to answer the question, I would say that you can't really say Nintendo is doing as horrible as you make it sound.  The 3DS is doing fine and the Wii U still  has time.  If it's another GameCube, that gives me reason to have good hopes for the ninth gen system.


What if rather than a GameCube, it's a N64?

You'll need to wait until 10th gen.


If it's an N64, then I will be thrilled with sales.

-shareholders and because of them....
-....publishers wanting easy money = short term profit instead of long term profit.
(Zuckerberg buying whatsapp is laughing at all the short term profit idiots)
-mainstreamers outnumbering gamers

Thats the main problem. Its also the main problem development studios close etc.

Nintendo just hasn't changed with the times. It works for them and against them at the same time. Mario is still a hardware mover though.

I have a question for the Nintendo faithful. What was the last original Nintendo IP to turn into a sustainable, potentially multi-generational success on home consoles? I don't mean partially fad generated success, either, so no party games. I mean Nintendo's Uncharted or Gears of War, something fairly new with growth potential.
