Forums - Nintendo - DonkeyKongCountry Tropical Freeze loading times.

So I just watched this comparison video and the WiiU game seems to have alot longer loading times than the Wii game.

Does anyone know if every level needs to load that long? Or if this has something to do with the Bluray or Download version of the game?

Loading a level starts at around 30 seconds.

A video posted later showed loading times significantly shorter for level 1-3...this length is only for the first level

EDIT: heres a link (and I changed a mistake I made in my original post):

^^^ This, plus the levels on the new game are longer than on Wii

Ditto.

I have played almost every single stage, collected almost everything etc. Finished the main quest yesterday.

What I mean is that I've sat through hundreds of these loadings, and while they're longer than Returns they're not very long! Only the initial loading from the Wii U home menu, that takes half a minute.

Only thing in the game that I think has a bit too long loadings are the Funky Kong shops.

It's absolutely nothing to freak out for!!!

Yep.

disc or dl version if there is one ?

Well, the game's around 11GB to download, so I'd assume each level is pretty massive, filesize-wise.
As long as it's not as bad as Lego City, I'm fine.

Don't mean to be off topic but, they look like EXACTLY the same game........

At first glance it may look like it, but once you've played them both a lot you'll notice that Returns had mostly flat still images as backgrounds, whereas in Tropical Freeze there are lots of more subtle details such as many huge 3D models in the back.

Not saying it looks perfect, I would really just expect perfect graphics from Retro, but at least it doesn't look outright bad.

Yep.
