Who the heck cares?

To me video games were always meant to be "fun". As long as its fun, it doesn't matter to me if people classify it in their mind as art or high energy astrophysics or whatever else.

That is not the point. It does not hurt my feelings that he does not consider video games as art but I was/am still curious to what gamers believe

Not focusing on the artistic value doesn't mean a game can't be art. Cod is art. Commercial art.

It's art if what you're looking at has that value to you, nobody can tell you what you consider art. Though, I find it strange that there are so many in the art community willing to discount an entire medium. There are some games I look at and consider more art than game, and other games where I see no art at all.

But, it's not keeping me up at night either.
