art is as much about intent as result...

Two buildings.  Same media,. one is art and the other is not.

journey is art because the artist was trying to create art.  Cod,.. not so much. the artistic value was never the focus of the game director.

I don't see why they wouldn't be considered art.

All video games are art. Some are great art and other are very bad art. Not all art is good.
I suppose you could say that something has to pass some sort of 'good art' threshold to be considered art, or every child's doodle will become art. Every child's doodle is art, just not museum worthy art.

Oh, and MOMA seems to think that video games are art. Yes, there are video games in the museum of modern art.

So art can't be commercial now?

I don't see how Video games AREN'T considered a form of art when they contain many that are.

Videogames have an artstyle, leveldesign, have a soundrack, tell stories and so forth...

If we can consider transformers art, then video games are too. And even games like flower aren't it. Metal gear solid, call of duty, LBP, all of them are art. Plus have you seen some modern art? Look up blue 2 and honestly tell me if you think that is art.
