Hopefully it's gonna be a direct sequel to DmC, I loved it.

And why not DMC5?

Because I prefer new Dante and I really want to know what's gonna happen next.

Yes, I am serious.

You aren't the only one, brother. I loved DmC. The new dante is fine by me.

I have never played any of the old DMC games but I don't need to. I am really hoping its a sequel to DmC. I rented the first one and now im playing it again from PS+ but i will buy a brand new copy of the sequel if it comes out.

Me too.  Fresh new gameplay, by far the best storyline in the series.  It was a bit easy on Nephilim mode or below, and the harder modes were kind of a bit bs with some of the enemy set ups, but I still liked it.  It does a lot of things better than DMC1 and 3 and a lot more better than DMC4.  Does maybe one thing worse, and that's enemy placement.  If they can fix that and make the game more difficult on lower difficulties and less bs on remixed difficulties, plus remove the light/dark enemies, then it could be better than DmC3.

Oh, the bolded all day. They just serve to piss you off, even if Arbiter and Aquila were some of my favorite "side" weapons among all DMC games. I finished on Nephilim also. It was mostly manageable, sometimes challenging!

Hell and Hell difficulty, did you play on it? Is it as batshit insane as it sounds?

Interesting opinion, but one not a lot of people share :P

It's funny because it's objectively better.

Objectiveness and Nostalgia often have a hostile relationship.

I gave this some thought... its possible that capcom is developing this game internally. The team that made DMC4 didnt make 5 because they were busy making Dragons Dogma.

But, if you look at sales, DMC/DmC sells more than DD. Dragon's dogmas came out nearly 2 years ago, with the dark arisen addon last year. This team has got to have been working on something in the meanwhile. A 2ish (taking into account the paralel development of Dark arisen) year cycle for this new game would come out in 2015.
This could realisticly be a new game coming out next year. A DMC5.

Another interesting point is that DmC already has a PC version. A definitive edition doesnt make much sense unless its just to bundle the DLC. With that said, i also remember reading rumors that Ninja theory was already working on new consoles, wich was followed later by another rumor that said they were gonna focus on phones now.

But theres a hole in my theory cause i dont know who is developing Down below. If its this team then my theory falls under.

My bet though is that DMC5 is incoming from capcom's internal studios, for better of for worse. Personally, i wish they had 2 paralel series cause i enjoy them both.

itsuno hinted he would like to make Rival Schools and Devil May Cry 5 in november 2013

In addition to that, I want to also make a miniature garden simulation, as well as make more games for (established) series such as “Rival Schools 3” and “Devil May Cry 5.” Later on, I would even like to make a game that captures authentic fighting and, such as Street Fighter II did, to develop a new genre of fighting games

so I don't think his team has been working on DMC5 or he has been messing with us..

Hmm... that is puzzling. Are they working on down below then? Or is he secretly teasing us?

Ono is rumored to work on Deep Down.. but Itsuno has teased Rival Schools a few times so I expect that game to come first..

Well, then that solves it. He must be working on one of them. And if this piece of news is true it raises chances that it is indeed DMC5.

I doubt Capcom would clear Rival Schools 3 anyways, when they didnt clear Darkstalkers despite all the begging from Ono and the fans.

The newest DMC from Ninja Theory was fantastic. I don't understand why people shit on it. I would love a sequel to that game!

What Team Ninja did was make a casually fun game
