Was the wiiU doomed in jan 2013? I think the wiiU became doomed later in the year. It was a steady decline mainly because it didn't have games. The same can't be said about xbox one.

Seece said: Japan. XB1 sold more in US in its first Jan then WiiU did in US + Europe. |
The thing is that Japan wouldn't have made a significant difference for the X1, wouldn't you agree? X1 January numbers aren't great, there's no two ways about that.
I do feel that MS has alot more things they can do with the X1 to turn the ship around than Nintendo can/could do with the Wii U though.

If I would still come to vgchartz, I would have posted exactly that.
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!
Well seeing as how the wiiu had no competition in its jan I still say its worse for the wiiu but still not good for x1

Xbox One Jan 2014 NPD around 145k. And according to vgchartz, its sales in Europe are as follows(and I believe these to be overtracked aswell). 47,528 25,054 21,174 17,844 18,146 Total 274746 What do the doomsayers have to say now? |
Xbox One is doomed?
I certainly don't think this is evidence that Wii U has a bright future ahead of it.

well X1 should be 349$-399$ its way over priced and the ps4 is eating its dinner, and then you have to factor in japan is in holidays in the first 10 days of january, which is why the wiiu sold well the first 2 weeks of jan, so in reality the wiiu is still doomed, and the X1 need get a kinectless box so that they could sell for 349$, othere wise they are going to be left in the dust by the ps4.
Xbox One is losing momentum with its price tag. "Expensive hardware with a weaker specs" That's how things are in the market for consumers. No matter how many defending articles like "eSRAM is more efficient" keep coming, it's price will always be the impeding factor.
LoL such obvious attempt at making wii u seem legit
First off wii u had no competition, was $200 less and was made available in more regions!
How's it doing now lmao

Indeed. I expect a fierce battle between Xbox One and the Vita TV in Japan. |
I still expect vita tv to win.
