So here's some new things we can take from the latest and greatest Mario Kart 8 trailer!

- Release Date = May 30th

- Each Koopaling is playable! Finally some new to the series characters! Also, MK8 roster > MKWii roster confirmed!

- Drift boosting is back! Not sure if that's the actual name for it, but it's when you sit behind another kart long enough to get a burst of speed.

- It appears you lose your item when hit, as Yoshi's red shell he was holding disappeared when the lady Koopaling got him with her red shell, but it could just be lazy/still in progress animation.

- Triple Mushroom now rotates around the Kart, so they can be stolen by other players!

- Crap tons of new Kart n Bike parts, but can't be bothered to list them all!

- More new tracks! Larry Lights?/Neon City?, Shy Guy Falls, Sub Coaster?/Water Park?, and the almighty Dolphin Shoals!

- 3DS DK Jungle, Wii Grumble Volcano, DS Tick Tock Clock, and GBA Mario Circuit all confirmed to return, looking better than ever!

- There was a Bullet Bill sign on Grumble Volcano, possibly hinting at a Bullet Bill cup!?

One does not simply get into first!
Also just having a banana behimd you does not mean you're invincible! At the very least, the Blue Shell exist!

I know, but how often does that happen? And if you get a mushroom, always keep it.

But now, if you lose items or the bananas/shells don't follow you, you'll have to think more about what items to use and when to use them. 

You lose a *held* item when hit. Whether one is held or merely obtained likely makes a difference.

It sucks that it comes out late May.

I particularly liked the bit where they vertically drove down the face of a waterfall. This game's gonna be crazy fun.
