Forums - Sony - inFamous: Second Son is likeable, but not yet loveable

Infamous doesn't look that hot to me. But I'll probably end up buying it anyway because there aren't any other releases at the time...

Well it was horribly phrased if that's the case.

Either way, some of us discussed it and we've decided to take the wait and see method in this instance.

Really because GTA 5 is not supposed to be a in your face, contraversial game. That was trevors whole additude was to be a total dick. This was what I meant and to take it any further says something about the biasism of this site. It was the post about the game and you know full well it was. On GTA 5 you can join others game and screw with their missions, just be a total mess.

I know I play online with groups of friends and we would have peole screwing up our missions all the time. not only that the game is about stealing cars, running over people, shooting people, robbing banks, so how is this hard to see?

You really pushing for this one.

Saying it is their super power is kind of real, You go out do what you want and get out of hospital or whatever and do it again. Most people by the game just to go around and wreak havoc, Essentially can be a total dick without conseguence in the game. However feel free to make this larger then life. The post was clearly in reference to GTA 5, Nothing else.

I'm going to have to take DJEVOLVE's side here and say this was blown out of proportion. I assumed he was saying you act like a dick in GTAV, I really don't think he was trying to insult me.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I'm not even sure what this thread is about. Nearly every response is about GTA or MP when neither were in the OP. First this game doesn't need MP and GTA should have delayed it longer so it wasn't a buggy POS.

I'm looking forward to this game. I loved the first 2. Cole 1 was better than Cole 2 though. So I'm guessing I will love this one too unless they changed something completely.

Also will not feature mutli-player.

Please post source of your copy paste, you didnt write this.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm sure the hype of Second Son will get me to finished Infamous 2 soon. Just finished Tomb Raider on my PC for the same reason :P

Not trying to jump in again buit even Sales took your post as not meaning that. AS did most others I would assume including myself. So no need to get upset over it you have clarified what you mean. Also it is true it was HORRIBLY phrased without a doubt. If you would have said it with some type of info behind it then yeah everyone would have understood what you meant but you didn't do it that way...hence the reason that it came off the way it did.

But you are good so no big deal my man!

I edited it right away once I realized my mistake. However this is getting off topic. So i will chill and let people talk about the preview of Infamous

I love the combat and mechanics of the games, my only 2 issues with the series as a whole would be...

-Needs In Door environments/locations. City can't feel real to me when I cannot enter into a single building.

-Side missions usually fee like.......side missions. What they SHOULD be is a Side "stories" or quests. I would really like to see Fallout/GTA type side quests that have their own plot and enrich the main characters. Randomly generated missions such as "Help Cops fight Convicts" are cool, but what if one of those cops had a name, and that cop tells you how he battles with resigning due to feeling futile, then your actions convince him to stay? Or side villains that offer a smaller but just as entertaining opposition. Look at Batman Arkham series. Sure, Joker is the main course but you also have the Riddler lurking about. Or Victor Sasz on some sort of killing spree. Attaching story elements to the stereotypical mission type really helps with masking the monotony.

I pray to god that Sucker Punch has figured this out with Second Son, because at this point its kinda inexcusable. Infamous was their first realistic style game, so I let it slide. I hoped with Infamous 2 they would do more to make Cole feel more like a true Comic Book Hero (Saddened by the lack of Sasha and Alden who are great side villains from the first, they should have been utilized in some side missions. They could really play with the fact Sasha is obsessed/in love with him). Now it's Delsin's turn, clean slate, 3rd game in the series. Lets get it right!
