I haven't seen anybody making those claims. Its funny, many people simply being interested in a game that looks fun is now treated as overhype.

This game is getting the attention of many PC gamers as well, so the interest isn't limited to Xbox fans.

If this game were on PS4, it would have higher pre-orders than Infamous SS.

You serious with this?  MS has nothing after titanfall all year that is a big AAA exclusive. There is plenty of MP shooters, the genre is saturated, Evolve, Destiny, planetside 2, another cod..please. Sony has pleanty of games this year. Then there is FF14, Deep Down, Drive club all MP focused. Sony is SMART to focus on a  few big SP games as Mp games are a dime a dozen. There is only so many MP shooters, games people need. Halo is not coming until 2015. People don't only play exclusives on consoles, Destiny will be the biggest FPS this year not titanfall, and PS4 will have exclusive DLC and advertising rights.


I guess Halo isn't worthy of note to you. Thats alright though. I'm tough on MS but you give them little to no credit even for their acquisitions and excluisivity deals. Yes, their moneyhatting is annoying but they've secured more decent shit for the Xbox One for the launch than Sony did. What an utterly adorable article. Reminds me of the days when I wrote for a gaming site and we would occasionally write sensationalist, soap box headlines or give a game a bad score so it would grab attention when we were posted on Gamerankings.com (these were times before Metacritic).

The strangest part is for the life of me I cannot understand what the article is trying to say. I mean, it's absolutely gushing with praise for the game. Yet if you read the OP of this thread and some of the other comments, you'd think it was a Knack review. To me it read like "oh man this game is soooooo incredible it's really good but WTFWTFWTF quit calling it sooo innovative it pisses me off!!1". Just to correct a few points in the article and the thread:

1. You don't have to be innovative to be good, or to grab hype, or to be "the next big thing".

2. People aren't even raving about innovation. People are raving about fresh, extremely solid gameplay.

3. I really don't understand how the OP of this thread is trying to twist "mechs are just an extension of the pilot!!" as if this is a bad thing. This is one of the best things about the game! Why do I want to be a wall jumping, parkour engaging, jet packing killing machine, and then get into some shitty slow lumbering shitty mech? Fuck that noise. The Titans seem like the perfect blend of size, strength, and mobility. And they even have multiple classes of them.

4. No, Xbone fans aren't desperate for this game to start an avalanche of sales that will "close the gap" with PS4. There is an amazing game coming to the platform and people are excited. It's really funny watching people scrape their brains for these wild theories about intentions.

5. There is no "bubububttubut xbox fans are calling it gotg!!". No, you can shorten that to one person, me. It is bizarre to me how people are offended by hype only if its hype for a game that is not coming to their favorite toy. I mean, that thread linked earlier, holy crap. It was just pure honest hype for a great game, something to be celebrated by any real gamer. Instead I was torn to shreds. I mean what the fuck how dare I get hyped for a game amirite? And no, I wasn't banned for trolling with GOTG. I was banned for something else in another thread.

6. I agree with Vitro, the amount of FUD for this game from some users has just been strange. Since everything is done on this site based on what toy you enjoy and/or root for, I guess I'd just say it's even stranger because you don't really see the same attention thrown to the other platforms from "xbox fans". Nintendo guys don't really bother anyone either. Hey, you guys understand you don't need an Xbone for this game, right? You can play it on your PC or 360.
