Microsoft, Infinity Ward, Bethesda and Dice all said the same ages ago. The Xbox One SDK was quite a way behind Sonys. The Xbox One is harder to develop for. At least now the SDK is up to scratch the Xbox One would do gams like Ghosts, BF4, Tomb Raider etc 1080p no problem.

This just confirms that the SDK stuff we were told is 100% true. And that PS4 doesn't have some uber power difference over Xbox One.

Ryse 1080p would have been easy with this to.

Dream on. It is completely irrelevant whether sdks are now "faster" than ever before.

Microsoft, Infinity Ward, Bethesda and Dice all KNOW how to handle an esram buffer, they have the programmers and the knowledge. They all KNOW the limits of said buffer and the limits of 16ROPs. As time goes on, people will figure out how to do "really special tricks" with the esram. None of these special tricks will magically double the ROPs or make the esram bigger than it is. If you want more in your XBox One apu. you'll have to sign up with misterxmedia and his trolls.

No!  Don't make him go there!  That's a scary place.  They make you give up your brain and any common sense at the door.  Even Selnor doesn't deserve that. 



The only people you can trust are people who AREN'T depending on MS for financial help such as publishing, ads etc. Go look up the COD Ghosts pre launch interview where he basically SAYS that he can't speak about the Xbone being weak due to business relationships.

Hahaha...people still stroking their parts thinking ps4 is far superior.... Not only it isn't no matter how much it is believed to be on the paper... 50% is ridiculous, this is plastered every 6 months almost... But even if it wasn't it is about as ridiculous than comparing 2 smarphone specs on paper... Yeah one is more powerful... But 70% of the user don't give a flying fuck... 90% are incapable of truly noticing the difference... And the 10% that care and can see are probably not even playing the inferior console.... And don't get me started on the one that pretend and don't even calibrate there monitor properly....
power difference between the 2 is about as relevant than between a galaxy Sx and iPhone x.... It's truly about the software, spec difference are close to irrelevant to people that actually use them...
like I said countless of times the PS4 could be 10x more powerful and half the price I'd still be not interested... With that horrendous pad design the lack of voice and gesture command integrated and the lack of software I care about... It'd be like offering me a cheap supercomputer... Might be cool to brag about but absolutely useless for my entertainment needs...
bottom line if you are happy to push more pixel with close to 0 other gain good for you... I'm happy to be able to follow the olympics while playing and switching channels and games seamlessly and faster than ever, without ever dropping the pad...which feels it has been tailored for my hands... To each there own..

Sniper Elite 3 senior producer Jean-Baptiste Bolcato told GamingBolt that the team struggled with the system's eSRAM at first, describing the first few months with the Xbox One as "hell".

"It was clearly a bit more complicated to extract the maximum power from the Xbox One when you're trying to do that," Bolcato explained.


"I think eSRAM is easy to use. Part of the problem is that it's just a little bit too small to output 1080p within that size. It's such a small size within there that we can't do everything in 1080p with that little buffer of super-fast RAM.

"It means you have to do it in chunks or using tricks, tiling it and so on.

"It's a bit like the reverse of the PS3. PS3 was harder to program for than the Xbox 360. Now it seems like everything has reversed but it doesn't mean it's far less powerful - it's just a pain in the ass to start with. We are on fine ground now but the first few months were hell."


Bolcato remains optimistic about the future of the machine, however, claiming that a new software development kit would make it easier to run games at 1080p.

"They are releasing a new SDK that's much faster and we will be comfortably running at 1080p on Xbox One," he said.


"We were worried six months ago and we are not anymore, it's got better and they are quite comparable machines.

 

 


Hahaha Evolve was shown on PC, that just tells you how much parity it will have. We will be seeing differences again like every multiplat game that isnt sports.

PS4 GPU has 100% more pixel fill rate than XBox One and  50% more  texel fillrate, and more advanced.  Just ignore the silly dreams of some people, we will never see graphics parity simply because it CAN'T BE, PS4 is a superior piece of hardware, and it's evident.    But this kind of silly PR will continue, for sure.  The truth is, this is the generation with the most difference in graphics capabilities considering both PS4 and XOne were released roughly at the same time. PS4 will dominate this generation. The XOne GPU is  SIMPLY NOT CAPABLE as the PS4 GPU, simple as that.  XOne is simply not capable as PS4.   It will have its great games, let's just enjoy the  games without dreaming and looking like fools.



Hmmm didn't we hear the same argument during the early days of the ps3 vs x360. Some Developers were saying the same sorts of things in defence of the ps3. The CELL all over again loll. How did that end up???? Virtual parity in graphics years on. HEY FANBOYS!!!!! Get a grip of reality. Developers will find clever ways to tweak the benefits of both technologies for getting the most out of them. In years to come your statements will look foolish. Yes they may be superficial difference but none all that noticeable for making fanboyish statements.
