LOL @TLOU winning teh innovation award. Nobody who defends the game can list of reasons as to why its innovative. Saying its innovative cause the developers said so its a weak argument. Its liek saying eating poo is bad cause DR OZ says it provides good nutrients for your body haha. TLOU is game with ideas taken from many games before it. Having the ability to explore the world in third person with a sidekick who talks , is witty and funny has been done before. One example is a great game called enslaved. Ducking behind cover mechanics also have been done before especially made famous first in gears of war. All the platforming mechanics to is not new. Tombraider is one great example,, especially the ps1 days. Finally having the ability to tackle and approach a situation in may ways is also not new an d has been done before. Splinter cell is a classic example. Finally having an ai who knows how to flush yo out from time tiem is not new. Great intelligent AI can be seen in fear and halo to name a few.

I agree with 3D World winning the Family game of the year award. That game is so much fun with other people, specially if you are drunk. Shit starts to get crazy really fast.

I know im gonna get hate for this, but after finishing The last of Us, i just think it doesnt deserve all those awards.
I enjoyed Uncharted 3 alot more. From a graphical, pace, story and gameplay perspective.

Why do people think artistic mean cartoonish?
Art can be realistics or abstract. cubism, pointillism or renaissance.
It just depends on what you prefer, that's all.

In my opinion, The Last of Us only deserved half of the awards it got.

We just prefer visual styles that are more creative and you can't see by looking outside.

I have no opinion about the rest of the awards but giving an innovation award to The Last of Us is like giving an innovation award to a Call of Duty game. If you really want to stretch, you could probably say TLoU was being innovative by not being exactly what all the other games there are on the market... But really, that's not innovation.
