LOL @TLOU winning teh innovation award. Nobody who defends the game can list of reasons as to why its innovative. Saying its innovative cause the developers said so its a weak argument. Its liek saying eating poo is bad cause DR OZ says it provides good nutrients for your body haha. TLOU is game with ideas taken from many games before it. Having the ability to explore the world in third person with a sidekick who talks , is witty and funny has been done before. One example is a great game called enslaved. Ducking behind cover mechanics also have been done before especially made famous first in gears of war. All the platforming mechanics to is not new. Tombraider is one great example,, especially the ps1 days. Finally having the ability to tackle and approach a situation in may ways is also not new an d has been done before. Splinter cell is a classic example. Finally having an ai who knows how to flush yo out from time tiem is not new. Great intelligent AI can be seen in fear and halo to name a few.
