Forums - Gaming - Take-Two shoots down idea of developing any Wii U games

I wish these dev's would say. We won't now because of "X" number, but whenever "X" console reaches (lets say for example) 10 mil console sales we will release said game. I prefer no bullshit, and this is bullshit.

They're right - they go where the install base is. Which is why every Gen 7 game was put on the Wii...

Oh, right. They only put their crap on the Wii. All their big franchises, like Bioshock, GTA, etc... all of them were put on the systems that, at the time, were selling worse than the Wii. Meanwhile, they don't seem to have a problem with putting Borderlands 2 on Vita, despite the Vita performing roughly as well as the Wii U.

I've come to realise that a lot of the publishers are hypocrites and scoundrels to begin with - if they aren't going to treat the customer with respect, then I don't see why I should respect them.

Never expected to see them on the Wii U anyways so I don't care. Nintendo makes far better games than them anyways. I don't need them.

"Wii are legion, for Wii are many"

Demographics makes more sense than install base people. Seriously.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Sony is publishing the Borderlands 2 port and The Walking Dead, so Sony (not 2K nor Telltale) hired devs to put those games on the Vita. Nintendo could hire devs like Sony, but they don't because they're Nintendo. As for the Wii situation, GTA IV, Red Dead, and Bioshock were not possible on the Wii due to the Unreal and Euphoria engines. They could of hired devs to make Wii ports with a custom engine like Activision did with COD, but due to the fact that the Bully Scholarship Edition and Manhunt 2 Wii ports didn't sell well, that's when they knew their audience wasn't on that console. NBA 2K sold well on the Wii, so they continued porting those games up until NBA 2K13

I think you might be mixed up about a few things.

Only, there's no audience for them on Nintendo platforms because they never release games on Nintendo platforms.

And to think there was a time where rockstar north was doing nintendo exclusive games for n64 and GC. That remains to this days the biggest mistake iwata made when he assumed the company: shut down western developers. Well, we will see.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Oh?  So Sony isn't publishing Borderlands 2 on Vita and they didn't contract Iron Galaxy to handle the port?

lol.
