They're right - they go where the install base is. Which is why every Gen 7 game was put on the Wii...

Oh, right. They only put their crap on the Wii. All their big franchises, like Bioshock, GTA, etc... all of them were put on the systems that, at the time, were selling worse than the Wii. Meanwhile, they don't seem to have a problem with putting Borderlands 2 on Vita, despite the Vita performing roughly as well as the Wii U.

I've come to realise that a lot of the publishers are hypocrites and scoundrels to begin with - if they aren't going to treat the customer with respect, then I don't see why I should respect them.

I think you might be mixed up about a few things.

i think you are the one that is mixed up lol

Oh?  So Sony isn't publishing Borderlands 2 on Vita and they didn't contract Iron Galaxy to handle the port?

lol.

well your reply was so vague it would have applied to anything he mentioned. Now that you expanded on your reply it makes sense.

Take Two has barely ever supported Nintendo consoles. Like I give a fuck. If I really want one of their games then I'll pick it up on PC.

It is easier to blame Nintendo or fan base on their console or console its self...

...rather than admit that they are incompetent and that they won't try to make a presence and establish them self. Electronic Art's was relatively established and they blew it in matter or seconds and it was all their fault for failing on Wii U.

3rd party developers nowadays are incompetent for the most part and I wonder how they can do business if they don't entice the consumers, they chickened out the moment there was a slight issue and everyone jumped out of the car rather than stay in it. Wii U would have been fine if those amateurs stayed on course, yet they only shown that they are incompetent to do anything if there isn't somebody holding their hands and they get handed down in the back street with nickels and dimes they get in return.

No wonder why games nowadays are for the most part boring rather than fun.

If you don't put games on the system then how the hell do you know if there is demand?!

If you don't advertise or let people know that there is a version for that platform then how do you expect from it to sell?!

How the hell do you expect great sales of your games if its gimped in content or features or both?!

Words are just words and actions show your intention...

Ubisoft and Activision have shown their intention... At least they yield some profit.

You expect good sales for 3rd party developers on Nintendo's platform if there aren't any and if that continues then you can't expect much, Nintendo would have gone for stronger hardware if 3rd party support was good.

Remember Gamecube? Yep... Not much software nor hardware sales...

What Nintendo do? They cut as much as possible to not have any kind of losses and maximize profit to survive as long as possible. Now look at Wii U, if people keep doing that they I guess you don't want Nintendo to be successful nor for 3rd party developers then I guess you really don't want Nintendo to make a beast like Gamecube was in its generation. Right?

You people have real control over NIntendo, you just don't use it because you are dummies.

You had Gamecube and look what happened... Abandoned by nearly everyone and now you are crying about the 3rd party support or games or demographics or something else... Its your fault, you had a chance and you blew it.

Don't blame Nintendo, don't blame their fanbase, don't blame their console, just blame yourself for failing to make it your own way. Demographics and platform are defined by 1st, 2nd and 3rd party developers... If 3rd party developers put primarily sports or action games on that platform then people that buy these kind of games will be on that platform. 3rd party failed, its simple as that. Their actions show how miserable and incompetent are now compared to their peak at NES/SNES generation when they were actually competitive with Nintendo or Sega.

This place really does not use enough reaction gifs.

The gif of the dude before me.

So, when can I expect to see any major Take-Two properties on 3DS?

What I wonder is if Nintendo is trying to do what Sony has done with Borderlands 2, which is to bend over backwards to get it on the Vita.  No, not necessarily with Borderlands 2, but with any western game.  I know they're doing things in Japan but what about western developers and publishers?  Are they making that extra effort?

Why should Nintendo bend over backwards for games on the 3ds? They've provided an install base of over 43 million, there's your incentive. Sony needs to bend over for vita, because it's as dead as the wiiu. If take two or any other 3rd party wants to shun the 3ds, why the hell should Nintendo bend over backward for them? To me, it's pretty clear that there is an agenda against Nintendo, deserved or not, there is. That's why the companies that WANT to make money on the 3ds, are.

The wiiu, I hardly blame any of them, because even with the full support of 3rd parties, I feel like the wiiu would still be floundering. At the same time, even if the wiiu was selling like the wii, these same dumbass companies wouldn't be making games all the same. Just like the wii. If these idiots want to miss out on the install base of the 3ds, well, then the other ones will more than pick up the slack. I for one won't be missing gta anything, as I feel they are massively overrated. So take two and keep their games, I'm fine with that, and ea as well.

In the West, Nintendo seems to be focused on establishing relationships with independant developers, not major publishers. And with the possible exception of ZombiU, I don't think Nintendo has really tried to push Western third-party content on Wii U or 3DS.

I assume that Nintendo overall is trying to expand its roster of first-party development teams (and grow existing ones) while forming partnerships with Eastern and Western independant developers (Platinum and Next Level, for example). I don't think it'll somehow save the Wii U or prove anything to publishers, but then again, I don't think that anything short of a full product relaunch would, which would probably be more expensive and riskier than riding out the storm for the next few years.

Wii u owners dont care about most of the 3rd party titles, is not a sin per se so just deal with it and stop blaming on them...

It still doesn't quite make sense. Looking back at the DS, third parties had no trouble making money by cloning whatever sold well (Brain Age, Nintendogs, Pokemon, ect.), and they could do it cheaply because it's DS. Wii was in the same boat, although nobody could be asked to copy the success of the Resident Evil or Metroid Wii entries.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Demographics isn't rocket science.

Its strange, demographic differences existed even between the 360 and PS3. Most notably in WRPG, JRPG, Action and FPS genres. I don't see how normal people would get offended by that.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine
