Since I read an article about the situation with the PS4 in Japan 2 days ago, I'm not as sure as before for more than 500k first week !

The article was about the lack of ads for PS4 by Sony in Japan, the lack of interest, etc ... a point of view by a journalist who lives in Japan

And the rumors say that Sony has little stock (300k) and sell 500k will be a miracle :/

I hope this man is wrong !

We have 4 more VGC weeks until launch. I believe we will only track it's 1st day of sales for the japanese debut week.

It's a complete stab in the dark to try and predict it's 1st week sales. But i'm not sure if it can beat the PS2 launch( 1 mill 1st week)

This might be true.

I originally expected PS4 to sell like 150-250k 1st week in japan but after seeing the American and Europe launch, i'm sure it should be higher.

So this article was from 2 days ago and this new batch has just been sold out right? Hmm

I guess it might actually be able to beat the Wii U in japan(306k launch week)

I expect PS4 to sell no more than 400k launch week
