Why would you laugh? Lol. I'm 34, and so I remember when Sonic was king, yes, king of platform games. The last great Sonic was Sonic Adventure 1/2 on Dreamcast which got 9's on IGN. It's been that long. Until they can get their games back to that level, I'm tuning out.

Age dont matter, i played 90% of all sonic games (platformers) and yes while Sonic Adventure was great there have been some good ones after (advance was good+generations too imo). 

Wat im saying is how do you kno it wont be back at that level? your first post gives a not even going to give it a chance vibe. Im not saying its going to be great but at the same time keep an open mind. Its also being develop by someone new so give them a chance to prove themselves!!!

  • Not developed by the Sonic team. Worst, developed by a western dev (ill mention this reason, altho it is possible that it end up being a good thing).
  • Developed along side a tv show and toys... Now this is the biggest reason why I'm afraid for this project. This means that the game will obviously be aimed for young kids above everything else.
  • We get to play as other character other than Sonic... This is usualy crap. Can anyone really say they had alot of funs playing with other characters? Adventure 2 was ''fine'' when playing as other character, but the best parts of the game were by far the Sonic/Shadow moments. The fact that we get to play as Amy and Tails does everything but excite me and it tells me that they made it that way only to sell toys.
I could be wrong, but these reasons are enough to take this game with a grain of salt. But it is a ambitious project, hopefully the reboot will help Sonic as a franchise and the TV show and toys will get popular enough to sell WiiUs.
Also, that part of the TV trailer where Eggman says ''It's not egghead, my name is Eggman!''... MAJOR FACEPALM. His name is ROBOTNIK.

Was he called Eggman in the US or what? I stopped console gaming with the Megadrive and when I returned with the Wii and I see his name change, it always puzzled me.

He was always Eggman in Japan. The Western name was Dr Robotnik. Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast bridged the difference in the West where he starts as Dr Robotnik, but then Sonic calls him Eggman/"A giant talking egg" etc. And it stuck as Eggman globally from then on.



RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
