I am just simply wondering; not saying it's a fact. I mean look at how well PS4(Japanese) is doing in the US right now, it has so far outsold the Xbox One(American) . In comparison, look at how Xbox 360 is doing in Japan it's almost dead. The Japanese people are very close minded in my opinion. That's the only explanation i can give you.  Sony is doing much better in America than Microsoft in Japan.  Why do you think this is?

You might say oh well the 360 outsold the ps3 in America. One can argue that PS3's lack of online capabilities and its initial high price point did a lot of damage in America. And I happen to agree with that because remember how well the PS2 did in comparison to the original Xbox in America? I don't think Americans decided all of a sudden they would stop supporting Sony because it was a foreign company.  But what's the explanation of Xbox doing so poorly in Japan?

But Europeans are still the most open minded though ;)

Or maybe it's because there is nothing that appeals to them on the 360? They're not exactly huge Halo and Gears fans.

On video games, people like what they like, you can't change that, it's not about giving things a "chance" or whatever.

This is more an issue of loyalty than open mindedness...

Americans are not interested in driving their own economy. They just want what they consider the best. Japanese culture is more cognisant that when buying a foreign product they are not helping the Japanese economy.

Xbox didn't have that much games appealing to japanese, plus the bad press about the too large pad for them on first Xbox.

And I don't think MS marketing is big in japan.
