Wish list for the next Direct:
- Mario Kart 8 exact May release date
- New Smash Bros. Character (Chrom or Lucina hopefully)
- Smash Bros. release month
- New X trailer
- Pokemon Z announcement
- Hyrule Warriors release date
- Zelda Wii U teaser
Oh boy, a recipe for dissapointment.... :(
Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one bird.
I think the next Direct should be crucial for them, and they should continue the attitude of redeeming themselves that they began with their January Sales Briefing.
Therefore, I hope for a great crowd-pleasing Direct this month

I predicted a weeks ago that it would be by the end of February. Nintendo really needs one soon.... Just saying that makes me feel dumb. Their troubles are too obvious (at least with the Wii U), that I shouldn't even have to say they need one.
But rather than predict when I think it will be, I will say when they need one and that is by the end of February as well. An important thing about this industry is staying relevant and being quiet for too long is very damaging for a hardware provider. Nintendo needs to be frequently and constantly convincing people that the Wii U is something we should care about. I honestly believe they should now be doing biweekly to monthly Directs, as a way to advertise their products and keep people aware and emphasize what makes Wii U so different from other consoles, such as nailing home the fun of miiverse and the convenience of the gamepad. They also need to expand their current services more with VC (add far more games to the service, please and make them unified across compatible platforms like PSOne classics) and finally making account based profiles for their customers. I trust they know that they need to do all this, but it then becomes a question of execution...
Now on more of a personal note, when we do get the next Direct, I sure hope we get more X and some real info on Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem! I need those games!

Awesome reply, I agree with everything you said.
Bi-weekly to monthly directs with great new info would be awesome!

They had one 3 weeks ago. It talked about Pokemon Bank, Monster Hunter 4, Mario and Lugi RPG 4 (Dream Team to us), Lego Chima, Etrian Odyssey Millenium Girl, Mario Party Island Tour, Kirby Triple Deluxe, Mario Gold World Tour, Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and spotlighted a bunch of 3DS eShop software called "Brunch Panic", "Wakedas", some thing I couldn't read, "Hashiwokakero", "Numberlink", "Shikaku", "Yajilin", then talked about Bravely Default For the Sequel, and that was it.

Of course, this was a South Korean Nintendo Direct, and all those games are coming out 2014 for them. But technically there was a January Nintendo Direct! : D
So... no news about a new Direct.... :(
I guess it was foolish to think we would get one this week
