There was a lot of arguing back and forth over which 6th gen console was more powerful--the mighty Xbox or the amazing Gamecube.  Both consoles made the PS2 their bitch (though the PS2 was powerful enough to be comparable) but, like the Highlander, there can be only ONE.  So who gets their head cut off?  Gamecube or Xbox?  Let the Quickening begin.  VGChartz community, go for what you know!!

Xbox was more straightforward and had brute power, but GC had a more efficient design. Graphics wise, definitely Xbox was a step up. The difference however, was never as much as between PS4 and XB1, but rather on the same ballpark.

Xbox, but from what I heard he GC was an efficient beast (the most of the 4), and in my view the GC exclusives looked the best, but multiplats were definitely better on Xbox (Splinter Cell).

Xbox ran a port of Doom 3. Nuff said.

The GameCube had Resident Evil 4 which  had really awesome graphics for its time, but the Xbox had the better specs.. I really don't know what to say..

Seemed like the Gamecub was the more efficient one, but the xbox was the overall stronger of the 3 when it came down to raw power.

This is not going to end well.

Although I have to say, while Xbox - and PS2 as well, in fact - had some gorgeously amazing games (for that period of time), nothing came close to Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 (including other GameCube games). And to think RS2 was a launch title.

Power = Xbox
Efficiency = GC

When it comes to pure power, XBox by a long shot. However, GC seemed like a smarter build, utilizing its resources better.
