They actually respect others' tastes even if some of them (not all) think Nintendo is kiddy.

However I didn't get a Wii just to go against the others, it was because I wanted to play Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda Twilight Princess.

Fair enough. How often do/did you play 360 games with them?

When you get older, that stuff disappears.

Well I was invited to play Guitar Hero  but I don't like it that much.

We all bought different ones interestingly enough... I got a wiiU, my friend got a x1 and my other friend got a ps4... We are all PC gamers so we mostly play on PC and we all have 3ds... We will eventually end up buying all 3 but for now, we are just testing the waters to see which one is the best

That's pretty cool. Have you tried out the other consoles with your friends, yet? What do you think so far?

I've been playing my friend's Xbox One for a bit and I really like it. He also plays the WiiU when he comes over and likes that.

I have and my reviews are mixed... I like the analog placements on the x1 controller better as well as the analog sticks, I like the triggers on the ps4 better and I like the D-pad on the wiiU better. In terms of games, both ps4 and x1 has meh games atm but I am sure it will change when MGS V: GZ, Infamous and TitanFall come out

In terms of pure presentation, I think all 3 consoles look ugly in some respect... Ps4 has too many rectangles and the light is stupid at the back of the controller and the controller just looks ugly by comparasion but it does feel good oddly enough, X1 is basically a DVR and wiiU has Comic Sans and gloss on the gamepad which = finger print magnet...

But overall, I like all 3 consoles and I think its gonna be a fun generation

I have stuck with Nintendo. Some of my friends have, some others haven't. No big deal.

I will say that I do not know anyone in real life that has a Wii U, Xbox One, or PS4 yet.

No, I am an introverted person, which always lead me to NOT follow trends and fashion in general. That is why the WiiU is looking more and more appealing for me these days, I am all for the underdog.
Also, I did not had money to buy the PS4.
That said, I decided to buy all of them before 2014 ends, if I am alive till there.

Yikes! Is Brazil that dangerous?

My closest friends have Wii Us. None of us convinced the others to buy it, we just all like the kinds of games on it. It was more our gaming and other geeky tastes that brought us together rather than being together that affected our gaming decisions. One guy I'm friends with has a PS4. I might buy one someday for Kingdom Hearts, but not because he has it. No one I know has an Xbone, and no one I'm friends with is interested in one. I'm not either, but if the right games came out I might get one used, or with a significant price cut, say by half at least. It's really all a matter of gaming taste for me, and who I'm friends with often depends on that too, as I just seem to be more drawn to others like me.

The only time I ever bought a system because my friends had it was the GameCube. I saw Melee and then I had to have it. Now I just buy what I want.

Actually, come to think of it, I also played Wii Sports at a friend's and decided that I need to get a Wii.

"WE BUY NO JAPANESE CRAP".

"Okay guys..."

This is how some of my friends are.

They're all fine with western games I'm interested in, or even Japanese games that really don't look Japanese, but anything that looks Japanese they're not interested in.  So games like Dragon's Crown, Yakuza, Tales, Valkyria Chronicles, etc, they're not interested in.

Sad. Those games don't fare well in Spain. I mean, I've seen brand new Valkyria Chronicles sitting on shelves in retail stores.

Back in the sixth generation, the PS2 was the hottest thing on the market. I initially got  a GameCube, but my friends conviencied me to get a PS2, too. Thank God that I listened to them.
