Xbox One Tomb Raider Definitive Edition Scoring Better than PS4 Version on Metacritic by Karam Elahi

Despite some negative reaction about the Xbox One version of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition by some fans, the game seems to be a hit with reviewers, period, garnering 84 percent for the PlayStation 4 version, and 87 percent for the Xbox One version. Even though the Xbox One version is thought of as the more deficient version of the two, it still has an average that’s 3 points higher than the PlayStation 4 version.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the PlayStation 4 has an average of 84% out of 37 reviews (34 positive, 3 mixed), and an average user score of 6.9 with 14 positive user reviews and 9 leaning negatively.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the Xbox One has an average of 87% out of only 13 reviews (12 positive, 1 mixed), and an average user score of 6.3 with an even split of 3 positive and 3 negative user scores.

This is only a snapshot from today, Saturday, February 1st, 2014. As always, the more reviews that come in, the more the averages will flux. In a few more months, we’ll probably see some settling of the overall scores once even more site review scores are added to the listings for the two versions, but, as of today, the Xbox One version is averaging slightly better.

37 vs 13

The power of Kinect. I wonder if you can touch Lara.

Well, the Xbox One version has the lower user score, but who cares about that!

How is this in any way relevant.

This is the same nonsense as last Gen with 360 vs PS3 comparisons. The one with the most reviews always has a slightly lower score, and is also the one that should be used for reference if you are in fact looking for the best assortment of scores.

Why must people always making something of nothing

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Totally not.

like I said in the other thread.
"13 vs 37 reviews. With more reviews, there's a higher chance of a score reducing. This is the same case IMO why Ocarina of Time is the highest rated game based on 22 reviews. Compare that with recent games that have over 70, 80, 100 reviews. With Quarter to three lucking."

show me an example of the same reviewer hamding out a different score then that will be news. Right now the thread title is misleading and the thread is irrelevant

Different reviews from different reviewers. Aside from the FPS/Resolution stuff, the game is virtually the same as the PS3/360 version. Unless you have one specific site reviewing both--and even then, it would have to be the same reviewer like Game Informer used to do back in the 6th gen--I don't think there's anything to see here.
