Labelling it last gen and saying next gen systems are out still doesnt prove the overwhelming evidence that PS360's are still in production and retailers are still distributing them (in other words, not been replaced)

The definition of 'replace' doesnt allow the PS4 to be a replacement of the PS3, at the very best its a simultaneously manufactured product.

The notion that PS3 sales are no longer count because PS4 is ridiculous anyway.

What's ridiculous is the idea that you can "win" a generation years after it passed the baton to the next gen.

"If you argue the same point ten times, you'll get the same response ten times."

Generations can coexist.

It is not the 7th gen anymore. Again: they call it last gen for a reason

So the console manufacturer who decided to do the least to upgrade their last gen console get more kudos because of that? Spinning at it's best.

The PS5 Exists.

My 7 year old niece also always wants to prematurely end a game and start different game, if she is ahead ;)

Im not saying its still 7th gen, im just saying the number you give it doesnt change the fact that its still an active product.

There's a reason PS3/360/Wii are now called "last gen". They have replaced as current gen consoles by PS4/X1/Wii U.

You sound like a broken record... is it the fear of the possibility that some of the 7th generation records of the Wii could be broken? ;)

Don't fear, even if the Wii should lose its pole position in software sales and/or hardware sales, it will keep its records of highest profitability, shortest support duration and smallest selection of good games.

PS2 says hi. With more games, more tie ratio and definitely more consoles sold. Don'ty cry now

What does that matter? I don't play leaps, I play games.

There is a greater leap from "awful" to "mediocre" than from "good" to "very good" but I'm better served with the "very good".

It is still an active product, yes. I just meant it's no longer a runner in the 7th gen race, because that race has concluded.

Except Nintendo weren't the only ones to end the game and start the next; Sony and Microsoft have as well, with PS4 and Xbone.

They weren't? Didn't they start the 8th console generation with the WiiU? Sony and Microsoft joined the new game but didn't end the other game.

They play two games at the same time and the WiiU has to hold its ground against 4 competitors: the PS4 + XBO (8th generation) with much better hardware and 3rd party support on the upper end and the PS3 + 360 (7th generation) with great game portfolios, steady software support, lower hardware and software prices and even room for price cuts on the lower end... while Nintendo dropped Wii support even a year before the launch of the Wii U.

It is just your opinion that a game/race automatically ends if another one starts, no fact. It is your opinion that it is even a race with a clear-cut end, no fact.
