Who buys those? And LG BD players have been under $100 for at least 4 years.
To me, the consoles aren't a good option to play BDs. Dedicated players are very cheap, have DLNA features, play movies from USB data and consume ~10 Watts...

What? Care to elaborate on that claim?

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Ethomaz knows what i mean. But if I must bluray.com reviews of xbox one and ps4 bluray capability had this conclusion XBOX ONE: Considering the smooth experience, fast access, the absence of glaring glitches, the terrific and intuitive SmartGlass remote app, the awesome Kinect interface, and all the other things the system does well right out of the box, the Xbox One is the clear winner over the PS4 in terms of overall entertainment integration and, more specific to this site and its audience, Blu-ray playback. There's no doubt the PS4 will eventually play catchup and at least rival the Xbox One, but Microsoft has certainly taken the lead and embraced the Blu-ray experience, once its rival, with open arms and an advanced, enjoyable, and accurate interactivity that's nothing short of a terrific experience all round. Oh, and it also plays some great video games. The Xbox One comes very highly recommended.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't doubting you I just hadn't seen any reviews of the Blu-ray players in the two. Good to know that at least currently the Xbox One has the better Blu-ray player.

Yeah, your arguments clearly dissected every point and proved otherwise. A quality post, for sure.

Weird, I've been using ps3 and ps4 interchangeably for watching blu-rays, and the only difference I see is a bit slower chapter skip on ps4. No freezes, no sound glitches. It's actually easier to change sound settings on the fly on ps4, and resume playback is faster, only the bit rate info is missing. I watch blu-ray all the time, maybe they had a faulty system.
I've only been using the ps4 for blu-ray for a month though. I read that review too and stuck to ps3 for blu-ray playback, then figured why bother swapping the machines out, how bad can it be. Nothing wrong with it, maybe the freezes were fixed in a patch?
Well, I will not buy the X1 for the bluray since I am going all download in the 8th gen :). For those that enjoy it, they probably already have a bluray player.
