DDR3 is not cheaper if anything it will be more expensive going forward, just like ddr2 memory in PC's is more expensive then ddr3. Also kinect and esram make it even harder to get the price ox x1 down.

This is not going to stop them from falling behind.

DDR3 is much cheaper than GDDR5.

Not ture, when gddr5 drops ddr3 will stay the same like ddr2 and allolder ram types as they get more expensive to manufacture. Eventually ddr3 will also be more expensive.

the day microsoft announces a driveless xbox one i will really laugh out loud. but, i simply cannot imagine they would do this.
the funniest situation would be a download only console without the possibility to upgrade the hdd. no way they'd do this.

i could see them ditching kinect, honestly. or wait, maybe we will finally see a cheap entry xbox with a subscription fee? or even a 100% rented xbox.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Explain that to the memory manufacturers, all of them think different than you. GDDR5 is based on DDR3, and it uses several techniques to improve speed, as differential signaling, and it provides some routing advantages, but it also needs a much costlier logic. You should refrain to talk about technical things you don't know about.

So... right now it is true then.  weird post.

Not only that, GDDR5 is based on DDR3, soon we will have DDR4 and the next GDDR version, so graphic card manufacturers will use it and the cost of GDDR5 will increase too due to a much lower production.

?? Again you never even understood what I said. why is ddr2 more expensive then ddr3? Evenmtually as gddr5 manufactturing drops ddr3 will be more expensive. Look up proces of dr3 and older memopry..... The process how gddr5 is made is irrelevant lol.

Are you CBOAT? Your posts are as hard to read as his.

If it gets "leaked" too fast, won't people just stop buying x1 and just wait for the new pricing ?

i hope they call it the xbox go.

Typical case of "I have an opinion, don't bother me with facts".

i hope they have their ambassador program ready.
