Do not like the OP here at all. I'm actually a games journalist, and I played this game. I didn't like the overly complex combat system, and how hard it was if you didn't follow set combos perfectly, the fact that all the exploration gameplay/platforming was basically Uncharted, with a less interesting narrative. And the memory rewinds had potential but ended up being trial and error.

Nice try OP, but good new games are touted by journalists and flourish (The Last Of Us, Journey) mediocre ones are not and do not (Nintendoland, Remember Me...)

What ?
The combat system was extremely simplistic. That is the biggest flaw of the game and the main reason why reviewers didn't give it high scores.

Love how these "journalists" dont know anything about games.

Sorry Wiped, a game journalist is the last person i will trust to tell me if a game is good. All bought and all biased.

I don't know, I tried the game when it was free with Plus. It wasn't so much fun though.

When's the last time a game used an unattractive female protagonist and it became a big hit?

Heavenly Sword, Mirror's Edge, AC Liberation all tried and failed.

Heavenly Sword sold well, so maybe the game had a large budget.

Mirror's Edge sold millions and its getting a sequel.

I recently bought AC Liberation on the 360 and I'm about half way in. An impressive effort for handheld game, but not a great AC game.

Recent popular games with average looking ladies were FFXIII and Beyond Two Souls.

Its a new universe and experience which did not grab everyone attention because its something new and new things always fail to grab attention from people when there are better things being released out there. So, consumers ignored this game for those games but they forgot what will happen to the developer if they don't have at least some support. If these things continue then the developers won't risk to make new games with different innovations in future and they prefer to milk the things the people like to stay risk free. Gaming industry have been going wrong direction due to the social network and they don't think about developers what happens if they game did not get least support, which will give problems to consumers in the end with less games/experiences. Recently we've been hearing lot of lay offs and studios problems with games canceled. This is pretty bad time for game developers and hoping this new PS4/Xbox one should bring some good support for AAA developers otherwise we will get only Indie games without blockbusters in future.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.
