I for one think its awesome.

Jumping the gun......I wouldnt be surprised if the order is a huge hit.

Yup, it can go either way. Depends on marketing, whether Halo 2 gets a X1 graphics overhall or just 1080p, but itll be close.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Have to agree. We have used the drive in our Xbox One exactly 1 time since November.  Why spend $40-$50 on something that really isnt needed any longer.

Depends on the person.
I personally have no need for a last century optical disc drive, but lots of other people do!

At-least Microsoft is providing consumers, choice. - Which is never a bad thing.

?? The choice is already there, I can go all digital now if I want...........

You also get a larger more expensive console.  The optical driveless version will be less expensive and smaller.  Likely will end up selling more in the long run.

? More expensive how?  A ps4 is smaller and 100 less and I can go all digital now.,The discless x1 won;t sell squat, ms os off their rocker if they think this will work.

I am comparing Xbox One with bluray to Xbox One without.  Not with the PS4.   The world is rapidly moving to digital delivery.  You may not believe it, but that doesnt make it true.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Ugh I can already go all digital....so your point about the world moving to digital delivery is pointless, I mean DUH we know it it's already here, a discless x1 won't sell.

Disagree.  The market will prove it out.  Simply less costly to produce and sell.  With more and more people getting video and music via streaming they will say why not with games as well. Especially as delivery options get better.  I see scheduled delivery coming this year as well.  When a game comes out and you pre-order online it will be available and ready to play on your console at midnight of launch day.  Digital delivery can trickle down content for days in the background to have everyone ready to go at launch.

The market will pove me right, and analysts agree, a disc-less console is an idiotic move.

Will take all this with grain of salt but 2014 looks to be Xboxs year with AAA games.

Price cut is welcome.......those country launches are so late. Please drop kinect MS.

Hell even Halo 2 bringing back its legendary multiplayer has more significance then what the competition is offering.....and that is both amazing and sad, depending how you look at it :P. Halo 5 beta seals the deal.

Sunset, Quantum, Horizon 2, Halo 2........you have yourself a kick ass holiday.

Most of times I didn't agree with you but this Halo 2 part I agree 100%.

Halo 2 was the best multiplayer in Halo franchise... Halo 3 was the best game overall (SP and MP) but Halo 2 is the best one when we talk about MP.

And now people will say I'm biased but Halo 4 was everything any Halo fan didn't want to happen... even after the weak Halo: Reach.

I like you a little bit more with that Halo 2 comment :)

As a avid Halo fan....Halo 4 was everything a "lore" fan wanted to happen. Integration with the novels (where as Bungie retconned the Reach novel), a more emotional story, CGI cutscenes (opposed to in-game), and better graphics then Bungie could make.

However lore fans are vastly outnumbers by the MP fans.....and that is where 343 slipped up. Thankfully, they actually staffed up their MP team, and if those Halo 5 2015/Halo 5 beta with Halo 2 rumors are correct, it shows promise.

Yeap... I was talking more about the MP... while I don't think the SP is the best in the franchise it is great for sure... second or third best SP overall for me.

(expressing sadness that a Halo 2 remake will outsell a PS4 holiday 2014 exclusive)

I for one think its awesome.

hahaha man you are incredible.

I find myself looking forward to Forza the most, then Halo 2A.

Horizon is probably the best racing game I have played last gen. Shame it didn't sell better. Halo 2 campaign is probably the best shooter campaign I have ever played. MP was great too. Looking forward to seeing more.

Your opinion is just that, opinion.

You, nor I have zero idea how well it will work or what it will do for sales.
Steam built it's "empire" on digital-only downloads with a user base that's competitive with the Xbox and Playstation networks, so it's not something that should be shrugged off, but watched to see what ideally happens.

If people find value in a discless console as the console will be sold cheaper, all the power to them.

Controlled leak due NPD January and no more Titanfall console... the things will start to get worst to MS in US.
