My Comparison Post is Up! Please note that those are only some of the games made by both companies in each category. Also note that I tried to make four games per category for each company, even if I felt one company had a stronger lineup at one point than the other. The goal was to encapsulate some of what has made each company great in each category.

Nobody likes pretty screenshots?

8-bit/arcade games- Konami
16-bit/arcade games- Capcom ( Strider for the win)
Fifth generation of consoles- Konami
Sixth generation of consoles- Capcom ( Resident Evil 4 for the win)
Seventh generation of consoles- Capcom ( Konami was pretty much irrelevant last gen)
Handhelds up until the release of the DS- Konami
Handhelds since the release of the DS- Capcom

Win in all departments bar one for Capcom from me.

Apart from all handhelds since the release of DS.......... i can't vote against the AMAZING trio of Castlevania games that came out on the DS, no way.

Either way, two LEGENDARY video games companies that will have my utmost respect until the day i die.

Eleven Voters so far, and some results have become fairly clear in broad terms:

Capcom Wins: 16 bit, 6th gen, 7th gen

Konami Wins: 5th gen, Early Handhelds

Close Calls: 8 bit, Modern Handhelds

So all in all, Capcom has the upper hand at the moment (an extra category), but Konami's far from crushed.

I won't really vote, but honestly my answer would have been neither in the last generation.

If I remember correctly, you are not really a fan of MGS4, right?

I dont think theres any competition nowadays.

Capcom wins hands down. Konami is just a husk beeing dragged around. When metal gear solid goes down, so does the company.

Sorry, too lazy to do it per generation so i just skipped to the conclusion.
