We are going from a 153M DS +80M PSP market to a 100M 3DS (with luck) +20M PSV (even more luck) market.

Exactly where are you seeing the opportunity here?

Microsoft will NEVER enter the handheld market, at least the dedicated game handheld.

Windows 8 is a pain in the ass as it is for them, and is only gaining traction.

No idea why some don't understand that iPhones, Androids, tablets, WP8, etc... are gaming devices.

WP is first and foremost a smartphone, not a dedicated gaming machine. I think that's what OP is getting at.

Yeah MS has a long history of successful hardware like Zune, Surface, Windows Phone, and Xbox. The last thing they should do is focus more on Software and Services because they are terrible at that...
