I would say gears 2 would sell more. Resistance sounds great though i definately want to pick it up.But the first gears sold very very well.

I will say gears because of 360's gaming preference and larger userbase. I don;t really know how well R2 will do, but I DO know that everyone I've ever told about R2's online capabilities (60-player multi-player/8-player co-op) like literally had their jaw hit the floor. And we are talking about Insomniac here, so who knows what the game will be like? (1080p@60fps anyone? btw, I'm not saying it will happen, but it might)



Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

Gears by 1,000,000-2,000,000. But GT5 and MGS4 will outsell both of them. Those two games will be in a league where only Halo 3 and Brawl can compete.

 By the time Gears is released, the install base will be within 5% of each other.

Gears 2 will probably exceed its predecessors total sales numbers as an after-effect from the original.

However I do believe RESISTANCE 2 will round at least 3 million copies world wide which will be satisfying for both Sony and Insomniac.

I would love to see Sony advert RESISTANCE 2 just like how I imagine that Microsoft will market Gears 2. it would make the RESISTANCE franchise a bit more talked about than when it launched.

Really cant wait for RES2 to get released.

Resistance 2 will be better, but Gears 2 will sell more. Much more.

OT: I think it is pretty obvious that Gears 2 will outsell R2 by about 2:1 but i do think R2 will do a lot better than the 1st one anyway :D

Short term prbably gears 2

Life time = R2

R2 should have a nice jump since it will be released first. G2 may actually be compared against R2 since it needs to aspire to beat what R2 can do as far as online is going to go anyway.

Has there been a 360 game that can touch 40 players like the original RFOM did?
