So service is ID based and not device based, account relationship with customer, more users play game the lower the price
NFC is a smart move. The swap force market is very strong on wii hardware. Building a market on that on wii u will help move some of these people on the new system. I fill if they rename the console the system will gain some of the kid market and casual.

Sounds like the big N will really not do anything about the situation. Really disappointing for gamers, and shareholders alike.

I'm not sure if its gonna fly though. Pay $300 for a Wii U just to buy Nintendo toys
Or ....
Pay $50-$60 for a Skylanders/Disney Infinite starter pak for your kid's 360/PS3/Wii ...
I dunno. I think a lot of parents will choose the latter, kids will be happy either way.
"If play with friend then perhaps lower price" What the hell does that mean?
"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"
Yeah looks like investors are not happy with the presentation:
Investors may not be feeling the presentation. Nintendo’s shares turn down on the Tokyo bourse.
Per the Wallstreet Journal live blog.
Will experiment with this model on WiiU, changing attitude to licensing IP and will seek partner to expand exposure
In emerging markets plan to push into in 2015, want to establish user relationship, understand prices need to be lower
