Yeah, people have talked about selling off the Xbox division... but Playstation more likely to be sold off at this rate.

The recent acqusition of Gears tells me MS is in no hurry to get rid of Xbox.

MS hasn't done an offical price drop for the 360 in years, but they did several discounts throughout 2013. Anyhow, the X1 is in bigger need of a price cut. The 360 already has a massive userbase.

Sony relies way more on Playstation then MS on xbox, so its the opposite, Xbox is a diversion, a tiny spec on the landscape for MS.

Its the wisdom of 13 vs 33 countries you see, i bet MS which theyd shipped those 900k to another 20 countries now, would of more than covered the demand in those additional countries. :)

I don't think its reasonable for Sony to sell one of its most profitable division and keep their worse ones. That's like taking value out of the entire company, its like asking Sony to do Harakiri now. lol!

Sony will more than likely shrink (lay-offs, property sell-offs) before they start selling off any their division. Which is sad because they need to "let go" of the cancer known as the TV division. (I feel a disney song coming on here. lol!)

so can ps4 pull off 8 mio by end of march ?
there are still some supply issues in europe and america is slowly getting shippments in it seems
japan release coming up, wasn't there a rumor that preorders are around 1 mio ?
also infamous econd son releasing last week of march. I think a lot of hardcore people were waiting for that game
over 7 mio is likely 8 mio possible ?

Weird 3DS was adjusted UP to be adjusted DOWN soon due the Nintendo shipments.

Yeap... but most people here said Sony was crazy and MS choose the best strategy... turned out none of them made the best choose... Sony could had less countries at launch due the low supply/crazy demand and Xbone more countries at launch due high supply/low demand.

In actual situation the Sony one is more confortable... it is way better to have to deal with low supply/crazy demand than high supply/low demand.

Playstation isn't the cash cow it once was. Hence, not much to rely on.

Ps3 does not equal all playstation. Ps4 will be very profitable. They won;t sell a strong divsion, playstation would be one of the last to go. Ps4 will make sony a lot of money this gen like ps1 and ps2 did. Why would sony who needs all the money right now sell off one of their best divisions? Sounds more like wishfull thinking on your part.

did they only release in 13 countries because of the localization and all that kinect voice command crap or is it just because of their supply strategy ?
