Playstation isn't the cash cow it once was. Hence, not much to rely on.

Ps3 does not equal all playstation. Ps4 will be very profitable. They won;t sell a strong divsion, playstation would be one of the last to go. Ps4 will make sony a lot of money this gen like ps1 and ps2 did. Why would sony who needs all the money right now sell off one of their best divisions? Sounds more like wishfull thinking on your part.

Yes because a struggling company selling one of their best divisions over the big money losig ones makes a lot of sense...

Pretty lame dig there. x1 won't match sony in price only to lose mroe money ina  division there are talks about them selling off. Ms never dropped the price of 360 much either last few years...business doesn't work that way.

Yeah, people have talked about selling off the Xbox division... but Playstation more likely to be sold off at this rate.

The recent acqusition of Gears tells me MS is in no hurry to get rid of Xbox.

MS hasn't done an offical price drop for the 360 in years, but they did several discounts throughout 2013. Anyhow, the X1 is in bigger need of a price cut. The 360 already has a massive userbase.

The selling of XBox has nothing to do with current actions or current MS staff. The selling off will happen if its what the new CEO really wants to do, if the guy gets the job. Hopefully he wont.

this supply really makes me hope for titanfall bundles in the countries it hasn't launched yet

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Time for a 360 price cut MS....

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

You would think X1 would be higher though since there is still 600k of them sitting on shelves as of Dec 31st..

Actually no since it is $100 more expensive and still has a lingering negative public perception. Id say it is doing far better then initial expectations.

Agreed. Getting Gears can also be construed as MS setting up the division to be more desirable before selling it off.

At the end of the day it's up to the CEO and those pulling his strings. It would be a decision based on MS's best interest. Nothing to do with what the ... want.

Like you I hope it doesn't happen.

Some unbiased gamers also probably think that Sony need their money more than MS. MS is rich, no need to support them.

Better to keep competition up. The gamers benefit. Losing one of the three would be a bad thing I think.

For me, the negative public perception is a myth, you don't sell 3.9M consoles at launch with bad public perception, that card is played out nowadays. I'll give on the 100 price disadvantage but for me the negative pr is very limited these days to internet forums and resolution gate wars. Spencer is doing way better then anyone else did in the past year to repair the negative PR. They did the right thing and shut Harrison up pretty good, got rid of Mattrick, Nelson is okay but is to phony looking. Penello will never catch a break and should just sit on the side lines and let others talk instead. If they can shut Greenburg up they'll be back in at 100% imo.

People are still using the negative public perception card? lol. Outside hardcore minority on forums no one knows anything about any of this now.
