I don't think MS anticipated keeping the X1 $500 for more than a year. If they do, they'll get trounced.

Yeah they will be fine and even if this was a PS3 style situation, they could easily just drop kinect and undercut PS4, if they were desperate.

I don't think the X1 has any chance of being in a PS3 situation. That was a huge financial disaster. Not even the 360 lost that much money with RROD.

If MS gets really desperate, $299 and no Kinect. That's a scenario I wouldn't mind.

None of that is really a price cut. The first one actually makes the X1 an even worse deal.

Depending on PS4s sales over the year $399 with Kinect or $449 Halo Bundle might be inevitable.

A price cut would be a big help in any region.

Well by 2015 we can assume the PS4 will have some sort of price cut and maybe X1 will match it. Assuming Sony is still around. :-p
