He will never admit that Sony put out of a bunch of great first party last gen and had great second and third party exclusives to boot.

A bunch of great 1st party games? No.

A bunch of good games... I'll give you that.

Sony's games would sell better if they were as great as you think they are.

?? Sales do not equal quality, often higher forms of art do not have as much casual appeal. Dark Souls was the best RPG last gen and sold what2  million? You know you have no argument if you fall back on the sales argument.

You must think justin beiber is better then anyone else? COD is the best game every year?

Sony has frist party games that touch every genre and territory, Ms does not. There is a reason MS is largely an American console in sales and popularity.

Sony cheap? They secured major DLC for Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs and Destiny with more to come, also Microsoft funded Dead Rising 3.

Right, some solid games but few were noteworthy.

I think GT6 was about as noteworthy as a new Fifa or Madden. It has an audience... but lets not pretend GT6 was amazing. Forza Horizon was more noteworthy.

Between 2012 and 2013, I think many feel Last of Us was the only noteworthy 1st party PS3 game. Sony put out a lot of quantity and little quality. Yet some people act like Sony is pumping out a massive number of amazing games.

Basically, I roll my eyes when people say Sony has a much stronger 1st party than MS and thank god for 3rd parties.

Sony put out allot of good games and one fantastic game last year where Microsoft did little to nothing.

Boy, you always seem to miss my points entirely.

I'm simply pointing out Sony doesn't release that many noteworthy games... and its obvious you agree.

Dark Souls wasn't the best RPG, you just feel it was.

I certainly feel CoD is higher quality than most games Sony puts out.

They have sold about an equal amount of hardware. I don't think the year ahead excuse is worth anything.

Like I said, Americans buy more games and Xbox sold significantly better in America. That gave them a software sales edge.

I hate to break it to you but the Japanese don't care about Sony's games. They buy consoles for 3rd party games.

They are even in the US? Thats the point. Not so this gen where ps4 has already sold more software.

Japan doesn't care for sony game they don't care abotu xbox at all why bring up a strawman argument that has zero to do with anything?

I'm explaining why the 360 had a software sales edge. It did better in a region that buys more software.

I brought up Japan because that's not a software sales edge. They buy the least amount of games compared to American and Europe. Japan gets a lot of attention but its not the most desired market. Western markets are what Sony and MS want, they have higher attach rates.

I thought this thread was going to be about the PS4's low price and high demand. Sony could be making so much more money if the console were a little more expensive.

MS focuses solely on what sells which keeps their options slim. They supplement their large production gaps by buying outsider games. Sony focuses larger budgets on what sells and experiments with numerous genres. Big difference.

Your argument is all over the place, first you bring up 360 sold mroe software as a way to make it seem like 360 had better games. Then you admit 360 had near double install base in the US.  Your going to sell more when you have near double the install base, has zero to do with quality.

LAst gen is last gen, that's not happening this time so it is now irrrelevant.
