I know this isn't the current WoW intro cinematic but here is a reminder of some of the characters and storylines which blizzard have in the WoW universe. This intro gives me chills down my spine.

I never could get into WoW. Played the game for a few months but the endless repetition just bored the crap out of me. I never understood how slaying the same monster 500 times just to level or finish quest was considered fun. Not my type of game I guess.

In a short while there will be the pre order ability for the next expansion it will allow you to create a lvl 90 character instantly to get you ready for the launch of Warlords of Draenor. I wouldn't advise.... but you could do that, leveling is not hard, it's actually quite enjoyable I find.

Aye tis completely free to just bounce about and level to 20, you will see from that just how fast it is to level up. As staggering as 90 lvls ahead of you is to begin with they heavily nerfed the exp needed for each expansions set of lvls after it was concluded so now places like outlands 6 zone expansion area you can pass the lvls required there by doing half of the first zone so you just zoom up and you'll get good experience of the gameplay along the way.

A druid takes a lot of getting used to since you shift between a lot of forms to do their different combat roles, bear form for tanking, Catform for dpsing at melee, an owlbeast to ranged dps and a treeform for focusing on healing (can choose not to be a tree or owlbeast via a glyph for visual effect) But yeah shifting in and out of the forms is vital for good lvls of play.

By the way, when you decide to give FFXIV:ARR a go, you can level all jobs on a single character, so there is no need to make new characters to experience the other jobs.

WoW is pretty amazing. I started in vanilla WoW without knowing anything of the lore. What's nifty is that you learn all about that stuff as you play and it's very deep. A lot of quests are basic but some will tell you a lot about the faction you picked. Playing Undead, for example, can make you feel bad for how wicked your people can be but also kind of indignant over how they're treated by the other races.

People can have different goals, as well. Mine was crafting and getting rich. I also enjoyed PVP Battlegrounds and then I finally got into end-game content. Raiding was just too stressful for me, though, and I eventually quit. Others absolutely love it, though, and get way into it. Taking down Ragnaros, who was a big deal back then, is the most memorable moment in gaming for me, as was being one of the first on my server to get a mammoth and a dragon. That mammoth ... geez, I'm getting nostalgic.

Don't worry about a subscription, though. You'll actually save money playing WoW, as you won't have much time to worry about other games. I skipped the start of last generation and didn't get a console until the PS3 Slim--and I never missed it at all until I stopped playing WoW. The sheer amount of content is amazing. It's worth the price and I do not say that lightly.
