PS4 - 2.65 million
Xbox One - 1.65 million
Wii U - 4.5 million

Well the numbers in this thread are supposed to be about sales not the actual number of people that played the game.  Would it make sense to you to count a pirated copy of a game as a sale?  The same goes for digital rentals in my opinion since the person hasn't purchased any games just the service to have access to the games.  Maybe someone could email that site and have them verify with their "source" if they are indeed using PS+ numbers (I'd be shocked if they weren't).

These numbers seem pretty plausible to me, taken with a grain of salt though.

I wonder if the digital sales include PS+ deals.

I don't think another hack 'n slash game will ever sell as well as God of War III again, holy shit.

How did it do it? A March release, near enough NO bundling, weak advertisement campaign, no multiplayer and it still sold well over 6 million?! Definitely the most impressive sales of the list, imagine it had the bundling + advertisement + holiday release Uncharted 3/GT5 received? Would've sold 8/9 million.

I bet that's not even including the God of War Saga Collection which has sold like 600k and has great legs. If it doesn't then it's sold like ~6.75m and will probably pass 7 million by the end of the year.

Also it hasn't even been out for a year and God of War: Ascension has sold almost 3 million? Flop? Nah. We knew it was undertracked by a couple hundred thousand at retial by NPD/GFK and it must've done really well digitally, it went on sale for just $10 for a few weeks during the holidays (if I remember correctly) so it probably sold insanely well then.

Look at the drop off in the Resistance & Motorstorm franchises after the heavily bundled first games, I bet it'd be a similar case for Uncharted & Gran Turismo if they stopped bundling the games so much, definitely would lose a few million sales.

That would distort the figures. I doubt they included PS+ downloads into their sales numbers. 

I'd rather say the individual pictures of the consoles were really high res and then shrunk down. Also terrible how the proportions of the PS4 and Xbox One are fucked up
