Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Spindoctor Aaron Greenberg: "Reporting Can Get Confusing, But We Did Sell 3.9"

And we already have the defense force at work.

Yet 2 or 3 years ago when Sony had a big shippiment it didn't count and they wouldn't get the money and stores wouldn't accept anymore because it wasn't selling.

Now when 25% of your LTD shippiment is sitting on shelves and by this week sales would take 2+ months to sell all is great in Redmond.

For fuck sake does it matter? every little thing....

We all know what he means.

He isn't spinning anything. Even the official ms slides from the financials slideshow say sold.

I expect you to leap on any ninty or sony exec that uses the sold word in the future.

Kowen..., you and me knows what that "3'9m sold" really means, but most of people, will read it like...."So PS4 sold 4'2m and Xbox One sold 3'9m, they're equal", and this is why it is so upseting, because they're liying to the people treating them like stupids...

If Sony did the same in the past, or does it in the future it will be as criticable as Microsoft, so i'm not taking parts here.

This is the headline taken directly from the Official recent PS3 press relase for 80m, from the sce website...

PLAYSTATION®3 SALES REACH 80 MILLION UNITS WORLDWIDE
The PS3® System Continues to Grow with more than 300 Software Titles Launching this Holiday
Season Globally, Including “GranTurismo 6”

So they have sold 80m right?  Is this spin or do we know what they mean?

What's the point kowen? You will never win.
