I played a GTA on my cousins PSP as a kid, and since I enjoy these games more on a handheld, it would be nice to have them on it now to.

What is your opinion on GTA for 3DS?

Should it come on the system?

I know China wars on DS was pretty bad, but it still sold pretty well for the quality.

GTA could potentially have a game on 3DS, it's a possibility but nothing has really been said about another handheld GTA as far as Ive heard

Chinatown Wars did bad everywhere, which is a shame since I prefer the 2D GTAs.

Chinatown Wars is one of the best games for the DS!

They released a GTA on the original DS... did about 2m I think... I don't think there's a market for it on the 3DS

Chinatown Wars was an excellent game, it wasn't bad.

I feel that pretty much the sole reason Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories exist is that the PSP was pretty much capable of running the PS2 games and re-using the assets, they just needed a little downgrading. And also, the games could be ported to PS2 for more profit later on.

So I don't think there's much chance of a GTA game appearing on 3DS. Rockstar are more interested in actually porting their PS2 titles to iOS and Android these days.

However, it would be cool and something I'd be interested in buying though. Vice City Stories on PSP is bloody fantastic.

ChinaTown Wars on the DS was ok, but just like all other GTAs the game is fun for a while and then it gets boring.

As for a 3DS game, I don't think there's really an audience for it. According to VGC the game sold 1.30m units, which is pretty bad considering the massive DS install base and the franchise popularity.

I doubt it. Rockstar hasn't shown much interest in the current gen handhelds. It's either porting to mobile phones or $250 million blockbusters.

They might make one eventually but I am sure it will be Chinatown Wars Style with more updated graphics

Not gonna happen. Definitely not an original game that requires effort from Rockstar.

At best maybe they'd port the original GTA3/San Andreas, which I don't think would be a bad idea per se, since they've been available on iOS/Android for a while.
