Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why People Says "PS4 Has No Games"? (+33 Games, +10 Genres, Strong, Diverse, etc)

It's the same thing that happened to the Wii. People claimed that there were "no games" when in reality there were plenty. I think what people are referring to is a lack of games that make the system worth buying. Most of the PS4's games are available on other platforms and therefore it offers little over other systems at the present time.

I've pre-ordered a PS4 and am looking forward to receiving it eventually. But I'm not buying it because of its amazing games library. I'm buying it for what's to come in the future.

Give it until the end of the year and people will scoff at the notion that the PS4 has no games.

I fail to see how the 2 biggest fps franchises ( CoD + BF ) suddenly mean nothing for the ps4 launch....

Yes that's the equivalent imo of launching SM3DW and DKCTF on launch day for the Wii U.

Except that never happened until about 1+ year later.... basically :P

Because those games are lame or can be played on other platforms.

Exactly..I think KZ Shawdowfall was the best launch title on 8th generation platforms

Because people don't like to clarify what they mean by "games", which really should be "system sellers" in this context.

There really is no big system seller there.

This is not true Assasin Creed,Call of duty and Fifa are surely system seller even if they are also on xbox360 and ps3.

Xbox one and ps4 has launch line up with more  big ip then any other launch line up

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Its not a bad lineup but its not a great one either, particularly looking at the exclusives. Still we know they are at work on some great games so these stupid comments do not bother me.

Out of the 8 people I know who got a PS4 at work, 6 of them purchased AC:BF, and the guy who purchased an Xbox got it also. Then there were many who got COD or BF4, KZ was the next big title after all the key core games.

So yeah, I dont understand why people don't believe AC, COD, FIFA etc are not system sellers when previous versions sell bucket loads. There are many people out there who are willing to upgrade.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

I still think their lineup is utter crap, though I think the same about the other two consoles too. Lot of those games are also allready on PC or old consoles. Exclusives are poor.

People say that about whatever console doesn't exclusives that appeals to them or has an abundance of games that they don't particularly like. Or the titles aren't up to par.

People like to say the WiiU has no games -- but if you're a platformer fan (especially 2d) the wii U has TONS of games.

The same can be said if the multi-plat version is inferior or less rich on one system or another. I could tell you WiiU has COD, but is it really that compelling to COD fan? I could tell you PS4 has Knack, but is that really worth your time when you could be playing Mario, Donkey Kong, Rayman and a plethora of other indie platformers?

To each their own.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
