No way it is only dropping 30% this year. 50% for both 360 and PS3. I can assure you. |
Disagree, Q1 will be telling!
Even that would put it at 86.5m shipped FYI

MS stated before release of Xone that they are aiming at selling another 25 m of X360 consoles so there will probably be some major price cuts along the way.
How is Microsoft going to sell another 25 million Xbox 360s? Mehdi said that Microsoft will be "hitting new price points"

Well to be fair they want to get to 100m... thats another 17m now. I dont think they will do it. |
Joke aside, I suppose both 360 and PS3 will be around for another few years. In many countries the just becoming affordable and they have a great selection of games.
And the monthly PS3- and 360-games via PS+ and XBL Gold will also help to keep the interest in the "old" games alive. Not everyone has already played every good title for that systems.
Not letting a ban stop me from celebrating a Xbox fans Christmas that only comes 4 times a year!
Lets see:
- $6.56 billion net profit.......looks like mine is better then yours :P
- Xbox division profitable out the gate. Very nice surprise! 360 probably padded any losses, which is amazing considering it still sells on 2008 prices!!!
- Cloud and surface proving to be increasing sources o revenue.
And I better see some damn price cuts this year or 360 MS! You milked those prices long enough (its been 5 years!!!) Now is definately the time......

I do agree they need to cut price. All good numbers either way.
