Give it time, and then ask this again if the situation doesn't change.

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

It already had its second holiday season in the USA and will be 3 years old by the end of the year in Japan. In 2-3 years we´ll likely already have first informations about atleast one next gen handheld. So it´s really getting late considering 3ds is roughly a year older which could likely mean we are already in the middle of the handheld generation and the next gen handheld system not many years away.

What I meant was that give it time to see if there is a PS4 effect, or if the Vita TV will do anything for the platform in the West =)

The Vita is at too high of a price to sell as an accessory for the ps4, so it really is down to the games alone in my opinion. There was literally only one strong exclusive game on the Vita in the last 12months and that was Tearaway (Soul Sacrifice is more a japanese thing). Its doing better in Europe but I think thats down to better tastes ;) (i.e its selling of its excellent selection of indie titles and Tearaway)
90k in December?! Has there ever been a worse December, my goodness..
So basically Wii U Europe is PSV US and vice versa, Japan is even between both.

I know what you meant. A price drop will likely still be more effective. The PS4 helping PSV in a significant way mantra we can read in forums reminds me a lot of how PSVTV is supposed to help the system. It looks like to be only a very vocal minority of fans in forums rather than anything substantial. The only way the situation can improve due to PS4 is, if every PS4 will be bundled with a PSV.

While I absolutely agree with everything you said, I still think we MIGHT see a slight increase in Vita sales that will be relatable with the PS4. Let's see what happens when PS4 hits Japan =) I don't believe for one moment that the fortunes of the Vita will turn around any time soon and it'll start pulling 10m/year, but some sort of increase is unthinkable.

Unless Sony makes a Ps4/Vita Bundle... I don't think Ps4 will have much effect on Vita sales.
Praise the One.
Sony fans only have the energy to buy one Playstation where as Xbox fans help Nintendo fans and buy a 3ds
