Future Trunks. Loved the mini-movie of him growing up in the terror of the Androids and becoming a Super Saiyan, the last hope of the human race. And he's just pretty bad-ass...I mean, he's impossibly powerful (as they all are) and yet he uses a sword. Just like my homeboys Link and Shulk! :p

Also love Android 18...she's a babe and she's technically the most powerful female in the main series. And I've always been a sucker for females when it comes to martial-arts stuff...usually use Cammy and Chun-li in Street Fighter and then Zelda in Smash Bros. And soon, Wii Fit Trainer! :D

My older brother and I were REALLY into everything Dragon Ball when we were kids. It's funny though...trying to watch it now is painful. The episodes are so drawn out and padded. The manga is better and Dragon Ball Z Kai was better too. Too bad they didn't continue it past the Cell Saga.

Mystic Gohan is the most powerful character canon. he trashed Super Buu which is about equal with Gotenks SSJ3!

He is just badass, and the strongest SSJ1

Ya but he didn't work for any of that power, he had it given to him by the elder kai, and when he was a teen he didn't have to work for SS2, the power was just unlocked from within him that he had since he was born.  As opposed to Goku and Vegeta that had to work hard for every bit of power they have, Gohan pretty much had everything given to him.  When he got older and he was actually weaker than he was when he beat cell idk that didn't sit well with me.

Goku = He never gives up & extremely dumb sometimes 😄

I haven't seen the entire show (I watched the first 250 episodes of the franchise including Dragonball in one go, so it wasn't from a lack of trying), but I have to go with Vegeta. His story of gradually evolving from a big bad villain to a sympathetic villain to anti-hero and ultimately a true hero is one of my favorite character arcs in anime.
