A mate at work decided to get one based on my positive experiences of some of the games and confirming that it's a decent system to share a game with the missus.

I wouldn't recommend a WiiU to anyone for the prices it's still sold here. Not over the 3DS for sure.

0. That's Ninty's job, not mine.

Ive sold one, i was in GAME and a chap was browsing the Wii U section. The shop assistant was doing such a bad job of explaining the features i stepped in and saved the day. He walked out with a black premium Wii U with Zombi U and Lego City Undercover on my recommendation.
I actually work at a game store, so I have literally sold 3 wii-us since I started in September. Other than that I have gotten quite a few customers interested In the system. The rayman demo helps a lot with that. Ubisoft just did it right.
minus 1 ....
Convinced somebody that 360 or PS3 was a better fit for them (It genuinely was otherwise I would have said go for WiiU)
I have sold 3:
First one to a friend of my college when I found it at a good price and likes Zelda games, so Wind Waker HD was the helper with this one.
Second one, to an ex-coworker that was looking for a console and did not had a Wii before, so backwards compatibility helped a lot.
Third one, to a friend of the last one, that was having trouble convincing his wife about purchasing a game console, but the possibility of playing local co-op sold the idea, this time it was Super Mario 3D World
I am currently trying to sell 3 more, 1 to a cousin that is thinking about upgrade, 1 to a friend who is looking also to upgrade and one to another friend that likes Zelda games. The biggest issue here is price, not lack of interest. My long term plan is to sell a Wii U to all my friends that have a Wii, as their upgrade, since they can still use their wiimotes and games, they see it as a good investment.

Come on, you're on the front line, you should be doing higher numbers than one per month.

One less messed up kid to worry about.
@flagstaad: What did you experience with the Wii? Did it sell by itself?
